Remarks: The last two fuga entrances are tricky: because the first note of the bassus entrance is lengthened from a minim to a dotted semibreve, the bassus enters one minim earlier than the altus; nevertheless, from the second note of the subject onwards the altus functions as the guide and the bassus as the consequent, following the altus one minim *later* and repeating the imitative duo of the first two entrances in the passage. The data above reflect this "normalized" view of the contrapuntal relationship rather than the literal relationships between each entrance's first note.
